This is our second year at Art in the Park! Last year was a huge success and we had a great time meeting new people and introducing them to Shortwave. Our goal is to introduce as many people as possible to our coffees and shop and to make as many sales as possible. Art in Park is a really fun, high paced event.
Art in the Park will take place at Stephens Lake Park June 1 and 2, rain or shine. Our tent will feature cold brews and other drinks for purchase.
If you are scheduled for the event, make sure you arrive early to park and take the shuttle as the event is very crowded. Getting dropped off is best, use the entrance on Old 63.
How to act
It is important to remember that many people you talk with at special events have never heard of SW, so they are forming their impression of the company based on their interaction with you. While it may seem obvious, being friendly and looking excited to be there is so important. Be enthusiastic about the product as well- we are selling something very unique and fun, so act like it! Appearance wise, be put together. We are selling a high quality product and with that people expect to see high quality employees.

Festival Location: Stephens Lake Park, Columbia, Missouri (Google Maps)
Entrance cost: FREE
Parking: Free parking at the Boone Hospital Center. Free shuttle provided by Parks & Recreation and run from the Boone Hospital parking lot to the park entrance throughout the festival. Please do NOT park across Broadway in front of Clovers as that space is reserved for their customers.

Rain or Shine – Don’t stay home! The festival will go on.
Dress: SW tshirt, shorts are ok. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring sun and bug protection.
Food and Drink: Bring snacks. Lunch will be provided. Bring a container for water. There is a water tent for refills.
Phones: Make sure your phones are charged up and bring a battery pack if you have one. We will be running transactions on square. Make sure to have your ringers on high in case management needs to get a hold of you.
Weather: Check the weather before you come. It can be hot, humid and raining.
